Tunisian Arabic Course

About Tunisian Arabic
Tunisian Arabic is one of the dialects spoken in the Maghreb. Its 11 million speakers are commonly called دارجة to distinguish it from classical Arabic, the country's official language. They also call it Tunisian تونسي
The Tunisian dialect is used throughout the country, with differences from one side to the other. The Tunisian dialect is similar to that of eastern Algeria, western Libya and the island of Malta. The tone of southern Tunisia is similar to that of central and western Algeria and northern Morocco. Through his dialect, the Tunisian can communicate with the Libyan and the Algerian or the Moroccan without having to speak in the Algerian or Moroccan dialect because of the proximity of these dialects to each other and the fact that the differences are rather simple. One of the characteristics of the Tunisian dialect from most other Arabic dialects is its correct and proper pronunciation of most of the 28 Arabic letters (except for some regional accents).
